NFL Analysis Network: Vikings, Packers will take steps back

The Vikings relying on rookie talent and the Packers making moves for the long-term makes a reporter at NFL Analysis Network think both those teams will take a step back in 2020.

Minnesota finished 10-6 in the 2019 regular season, winning a playoff game before getting knocked out of the postseason by San Francisco.

The Packers won the division with a 13-3 record. The team had a first-round bye, won a playoff game, then lost to the 49ers.

According to Grant Afseth of NFL Analysis Network, the Vikings got “genuinely a strong haul at a variety of positions” through the draft.

However, Afseth also said that “it’s just difficult to trust so many rookies to produce at a high enough level with a shortened offseason when they already have to adjust to the NFL level.”

Afseth thinks in regards to the Packers, the team made moves that “were geared far more towards the future.”
