NFL 2020: Key dates to know before the season is scheduled to kick off

In a world where everything is changing seemingly by the day, a lot can happen between now and when the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs open up the 2020 NFL season against the Houston Texans.

Already, there have been changes — there’s no Hall of Fame game, and two weeks’ worth of preseason games have been canceled.

For now, we still have some important dates coming up in football that are already approaching. Our Charles Curtis breaks them all down before the newly-extended Patrick Mahomes is scheduled to take the field after winning a Super Bowl earlier in the year.
