NFL 2019: Russell Wilson, Tom Brady and 16 others within reach of milestones

Players will tell you they are about team and not individual marks. However, there are plenty of players looking to hit marks for 2019 as the regular season comes to a close.

Jameis Winston

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

The erratic Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston needs 92 yards to reach the 5,000 mark in 2019. His previous best was 4,090 in 2016.

Russell Wilson

Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

The Seahawks are hurting big time. Russell Wilson will likely go to the air often against the Niners. That should make reaching 4,000 yards a lock as he needs 123 to reach the plateau. If accomplished, it would be his third 4,000-yard season.

Tom Brady

Douglas DeFelice-USA TODAY Sports

The G.O.A.T. needs 164 passing yards against Miami to reach 4,000 for the 11th time in his remarkable career. Pretty, pretty good for a sixth-round draft pick.

Dak Prescott

Raj Mehta-USA TODAY Sports

It is a long shot — sort of like Dallas’ hope for an NFC East title — but if Dak Prescott can light up Washington for 401 yards he would reach the 5,000-yard mark for 2019.

Patrick Mahomes

Jim Brown-USA TODAY Sports

Patrick Mahomes won’t repeat his 5,000-50 season of 2018. However, the Chiefs’ star can hit the 4,000-yard mark if he can throw for 143 yards in the regular-season finale against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Carson Wentz

Rich Barnes-USA TODAY Sports

Carson Wentz needs 250 passing yards against the Giants to reach the 4,000-yard mark. If the quarterback is able to do it, he would become the first Philly quarterback to hit that mark in a season.

Josh Allen

The Bills’ dual-threat QB needs one rushing touchdown to reach double figures for 2019. He has already thrown for 20 TDs, too.

Nick Chubb

USAT

Nick Chubb goes about his business without making a headline or stirring trouble. The former Georgia star is on his way to becoming the first Brown to lead the league in rushing since Leroy Kelly in the ’60s. If Chubb can rush for 57 yards against the Bengals, he would hit the 1,500-yard mark.

Aaron Jones

Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

Green Bay’s Aaron Jones needs 16 rushing yards to reach the 1,000-yard mark for the first time in his career. He currently leads the NFL with 16 rushing touchdowns, too.

Saquon Barkley

Vincent Carchietta-USA TODAY Sports

It has been an injury-riddled season for the Giants’ Saquon Barkley. Still, the star RB has a chance to reach four figures in rushing yards if he can go for 89 against Philly.

Christian McCaffrey

 Jeremy Brevard-USA TODAY Sports

The Panthers’ elite RB Christian McCaffrey needs 67 receiving yards in Week 17 to complete a 1,000-1,000 yard double. Expect Carolina to throw to the former Stanford star all day.

Austin Ekeler

Jake Roth-USA TODAY Sports

The Chargers’ dual-threat RB needs 50 yards receiving to reach the 1,000-yard mark. That would complete a 1,000-500 yard season for Austin Ekeler.

George Kittle

San Francisco TE George Kittle is a highlight reel. He would reach the 1,000-yard mark for 2019 in receiving yards with 22 yards against the Seattle Seahawks.

Chandler Jones

Quietly, Chandler Jones is one of the best defensive players in the league. The Arizona Cardinals’ star needs one sack in Week 17 to reach the 20 mark for 2019.

T.J. Watt

Philip G. Pavely-USA TODAY Sports

T.J. Watt needs one sack against Baltimore to reach 15 for the season. He has already topped his personal best of 13 set in 2018.

Nick Bosa

Stan Szeto-USA TODAY Sports

Sensational San Francisco rookie Nick Bosa needs a single sack against Seattle to reach double figures for his rookie season. Bosa’s brother, Joey, already has 11.5 sacks for the Los Angeles Chargers. The Watt brothers, J.J. and T.J., were each in double figures in 2018.

Lac Edwards

 Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

This is a number teams don’t want to reach. Jets’ punter Lac Edwards would hit the 4,000-yard mark in punting if he boots for 223 yards Sunday against Buffalo.

Justin Tucker

Patrick Smith/Getty Images

Baltimore’s elite kicker Justin Tucker needs one field goal against Pittsburgh to hit the 25 mark. This would be the least amount of field goals Tucker has kicked in a season in his pro career. That’s what happens when Lamar Jackson & Co. keep finding the end zone.
