And … the trifecta is complete. The latest National Football Foundation Super Sixteen poll is out for week three and Ohio State checks in at No. 6, the same spot the Buckeyes occupy from the latest releases of the AP and Amway Coaches Poll.
Like the other polls, the Super 16 Poll is very SEC heavy. Three of the top four teams are from the Southeastern Conference with Alabama (2), Georgia (3) and LSU (4) all in the top five. Auburn at No. 8 and Florida at No. 11 makes it five SEC teams in the top eleven.
The Big Ten still has four teams with Ohio State, Michigan (12), Wisconsin (13), and Penn State (14) all appearing — though it must be noted the Wolverines dropped two spots from last week.
The NFF Super 16 Poll is voted on by selected members of the Football Writers Association and releases the top sixteen every week just like the AP and Amway Coaches Poll.
