The NFC South has one clear favorite in the New Orleans Saints, and three 1-2 teams that are somewhat tough to figure out.
Let’s take a look division standings after Week 3 below and recap the week for all four teams.
NFC South Standings
| New Orleans Saints | 2-1 |
| Tampa Bay Buccaneers | 1-2 |
| Atlanta Falcons | 1-2 |
| Carolina Panthers | 1-2 |
Saints: 33-27 win over Seahawks

It was no Drew Brees, no problem for the Saints on Sunday. Backup quarterback Teddy Bridgewater threw for an efficient 177 yards with two touchdowns for a quarterback rating of 112.7. Alvin Kamara carried the load with 161 all-purpose yards and a team-high nine catches. The Saints are a real threat if they can keep it up until Brees returns. As well as they’ve played though, they’re only a game up on the rest of the NFC South.
Week 4: Home vs. Dallas Cowboys (3-0)
Buccaneers: 32-31 loss to Giants

The Bucs have the divisional tiebreaker over the Panthers and they might need it down the line after blowing a fourth-quarter lead to Giants rookie quarterback Daniel Jones. Tampa had kicking issues all day and blew a chance at a game-winning field goal as time expired. It was a waste of a great performance from Mike Evans, who finished the game with 190 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Week 4: At L.A. Rams (3-0)
Falcons: 27-24 loss to Colts

Atlanta got off to a sluggish start and never recovered in its loss to the Colts. To make matters worse, the team lost safety Keanu Neal for the year with an Achilles tear. The pressure on head coach Dan Quinn is growing, but a win next week could help them get right back into a tight NFC South race. The Saints, Panthers and Bucs each have extremely tough matchups in Week 4. Meanwhile, the Falcons host a 1-2 Titans team from Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
Week 4: Home vs. Tennessee Titans (1-2)
Panthers: 38-20 win over Cardinals

Backup quarterback Kyle Allen started for an injured Cam Newton and played the game of his life. Allen threw for 261 yards, four touchdowns and a QB rating of 144.4. Christian McCaffrey rushed for 153 yards and Greg Olsen caught two touchdowns. Yes, this was against a bad Cardinals team with a rookie quarterback. However, Allen outplayed the No. 1 overall pick in the draft Sunday and gave his team some hope going forward.
Week 4: At Houston Texans (2-1)
