NFC Playoff Picture: Where the Eagles stand after Week 12 loss to Seahawks

The Philadelphia Eagles are sitting on slim playoff hopes after the Cowboys loss in New England and they’ll likely need a run similar to last seasons to ensure postseason play.

With Carson Wentz having his worst performance as a pro, the Eagles fell to 5-6 on the season after losing to the Seahawks 17-9 at home.

With five weeks left in the season and the easiest portion of the Birds season approaching, here’s an updated look at the NFC East standings and the NFC standings as a whole.

***

NFC East

1. Dallas Cowboys 6-5 (4-0 Div)
2. Philadelphia Eagles 5-6 (1-1 Div)
3. New York Giants 2-9
4. Washington Redskins 2-9

NFC Standings

1. San Francisco 9-1 first place, NFC West
2. New Orleans Saints 9-2 first place, NFC South
3. Green Bay Packers 8-2 first place, NFC North
4. Dallas Cowboys 6-5 first place, NFC East
5. Seahawks 9-2 second place, NFC West
6. Vikings 8-3 second place, NFC North
7. Carolina Panthers 5-6
8. Chicago Bears 5-6
9. Philadelphia Eagles 5-6

The Eagles’ best and likely only path to the playoffs remains winning the NFC East over the Cowboys.
