NFC North Week 9 recap: We’re all a bunch of losers

Packers, 7-2

The Packers did not look good at all in Sunday afternoon’s 26-11 loss to the Chargers in Los Angeles.

Of course, these things happen during the course of an NFL season, but with everyone else in the division losing, this was an opportunity for the Packers to take two-game lead.

They’ll look to get back in the win column next week at homes against the Panthers.

Vikings, 6-3

There was hope the Vikings would be able to sneak one out in Kansas City against the Patrick Mahomes-less Chiefs. But Harris Butker hit a game-winning field goal, giving Kansas City the 26-23 win.

Minnesota really missed wide receiver Adam Thielen (hamstring). Thielen exited in the first quarter. We’ll see if he’s available when the Vikings travel to play the Cowboys next Sunday. night.

Lions, 3-4-1

The Lions had a chance, needing two yards to tie the Raiders in the final seconds. Instead, Matthew Stafford threw an incomplete pass and the Lions fell 31-24 to the Raiders.

The playoffs are starting to look more and more unlikely for the Lions, a team that seems to be so close every single week.

We’ll see if the Lions can get back to .500 next week in Chicago.

Bears, 3-5

My, oh, my. Mitchell Trubisky is really bad.

The Bears lost to the Eagles 22-14 and Trubisky threw for just 125 yards.

It’s looking more and more likely the Bears will have a new quarterback in 2020.
