The NFC North opened the 2020 season with two intradivisional matchups. Detroit lost to the Chicago Bears, a game Lions fans know a little too well. The other matchup featured the Minnesota Vikings and the Green Bay Packers.
Green Bay prevailed. 43-34, in US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. The road team won both NFC North games in Week 1. The Packers rolled out to a 29-10 lead in the third quarter before the Vikings furiously rallied to close the score.
Aaron Rodgers threw for 364 yards and four TDs, aided greatly by a monster game from Davante Adams. The Packers top wideout hauled in 14 receptions on 17 targets for 156 yards and two TDs. Green Bay held the ball for over 41 minutes and also notched a safety, with CB Jaire Alexander sacking Kirk Cousins in the end zone.

Injuries
The Packers suffered a big loss with starting right guard Lane Taylor going down with a season-ending injury. Green Bay’s starting left guard, Lucas Patrick, also left with an injury. Patrick is expected to be ready to play when the Packers host the Lions in Week 2.
The Vikings didn’t suffer any big injuries in Week 1, but they did lose standout DE Danielle Hunter to I.R. prior to the game.

The Vikings go on the road to play the Colts in Week 2. Chicago will host the New York Giants at the same time the Lions and Packers play on Sunday.
