The Minnesota Vikings have already seen their 2020 5th round pick come and go in embarrassingly grotesque fashion.
Three weeks after trading that 5th-round pick to the Baltimore Ravens for kicker Kaare Vedvik, the Vikings cut the kicker. He missed his first three field goal attempts in the preseason following the trade.
Minnesota opted to roll with journeyman Dan Bailey as their kicker for 2019. They get no mercy relief on the embarrassing draft pick, a compensation escalated because the Chicago Bears also showed serious interest in trading for Vedvik at the same time.
The Lions have no such issues, perfectly set with Matt Prater.
