NFC North roundup: Vikings victorious, Bears bye

Sunday was a quiet day in the NFC North. With the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers playing on Monday night and the Chicago Bears resting for their bye week, the only division team in action in Week 6 so far was the Minnesota Vikings.

It was a good Sunday for Kirk Cousins and the Vikings. They improved to 4-2 with an impressive drubbing of the visiting Philadelphia Eagles, 38-20. Stefon Diggs caught seven of Cousins’ passes for 167 yards and scored three TDs against the dilapidated Eagles secondary. The Vikings have impressively picked up their play after some early struggles.

With the win, every team in the NFC North continues to have a record of .500 or better. It’s the only division that can claim that after six weeks, and it will remain true no matter what happens on Monday Night Football in Lambeau Field.
