NFC East Watch: Redskins select Ohio State QB Dwayne Haskins at No. 15 overall

The Washington Redskins and New York Giants will be linked for years because of the 2019 NFL Draft, and the signal callers in the division just got a little bit better. The Redskins have been the butt of jokes all offseason long, but on Thursday night, they landed Dwayne Haskins, without having to trade up.

Haskins sat out the entire 2016 season when OSU went 11-2 and saw limited action as a redshirt freshman in 2017.

In 2018, Haskins burst onto the scene, and his first game, the signal-caller threw for 313 yards and five touchdowns against Oregon State. It would be the first of nine, 300 plus passing yard games. Haskins finished his award-winning campaign 373 of 533, for 4.831 yards and 50 touchdowns with eight picks. Haskins will now provide another formidable signal caller for the Eagles to deal with twice a season in the years going forward.
