NFC East News: Cowboys sign former Eagles’ QB Clayton Thorson to practice squad

The NFC East is a going to be tight division in 2019 and hoping to get a leg up on the competition, the Dallas Cowboys have signed former Eagles fifth-round pick, Clayton Thorson, to the team’s practice squad Michael Gehlken reports.

Thorson was drafted by the Eagles in the fifth round of the 2019 NFL Draft after a successful career at Northwestern, but he struggled to adjust to the NFL game and was subsequently waived by Philadelphia after GM Howie Roseman acknowledged that he made a mistake in drafting him.

Now Thorson will head to Dallas where there will certainly be inquiries about the Eagles offensive personnel and other interesting conversations.
