Neymar transfer price set by PSG chief as door opened to summer move

Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo Araujo has declared that Neymar will be available to buy in the next transfer window.

The global superstar, who has struggled with injury this season, has been given the go-ahead to make a move this summer window, according to a report in ESPN via Goal, with his former club Barcelona reported to be the main interested party.

The French side are looking for a slice of what they paid for the world's most expensive player in 2017 - some £136million will see the Brazil international vacate the Parc des Princes.

The situation is not the same with Kylian Mbappe, however, as PSG want to keep hold of the World Cup winner at all costs.

It comes as PSG came under hot water for their supposed mimicking of Erling Haaland's trademark celebration, after the French side knocked Borussia Dortmund out of the Champions League.

In the return leg, PSG scored twice, with goals coming from Neymar and Juan Bernat Velasco, to overturn a 2-1 deficit and earn a place in the quarterfinals of the competition.

Following their victory, PSG took to social media to mock German forward Haarland, with Mbappe leading the antics, the side replicating the striker's 'zen' celebration.

A day before the encounter, Haarland had made a Snapchat post saying that Paris belonged to him.

This might have something to do with PSG's cutting response from the French champions, as Neymar posted a picture on Instagram after the win, with a caption that read: ‘Paris is our city, not yours’.

England legend Gary Lineker expressed his disdain at PSG's reaction in a tweet, saying that they 'showed a lack of class'.

Haarland - who uses the zen celebration to express his love for meditation - has shot onto the scene with Dortmund.

He has amassed an astounding 12 goals in 11 games since arriving from Red Bull Salzburg in the January transfer window.
