Neymar transfer bombshell as Barcelona move 'OFF' following failed talks with Paris Saint-Germain

Neymar looks set to stay at Paris Saint-Germain after transfer talks with Barcelona collapsed - according to a report.

The Brazilian superstar looked bound for a return to the Nou Camp after a long summer of negotiations.

But Sky Sports have claimed the two clubs failed to reach an agreement and a deal is now dead in the water.

It's reported Neymar now intends to fulfil his contract with the Ligue 1 champions which runs until 2022.

The development will come as a huge blow to the 27-year-old who appeared desperate to engineer a path back to Spain.

He left Barca for PSG in 2017 for a world record £198million fee.

The La Liga giants were believed to have offered Ivan Rakitic, Ousmane Dembele and Jean-Clair Todibo to tempt the Parisiens to do business.

PSG sporting director Leonardo said on Friday there was no agreement in place and that the club had refused Barca's exchange offer.

"Our position on a potential departure of Neymar is clear, everyone knows what we want," he said just 24 hours ago.

"We got a first written offer on 27 August and we refused it, the conditions didn't suit us.

"There are three days until the end of the transfer window, and for the moment, there is no agreement.

"We're talking a lot, with Neymar in particular. He's an extraordinary player, I didn't know him personally before I came back to Paris.

"He has gone through a lot of things, he's a football star today, and I like him a lot. We have a good relationship with him."

It's reported Neymar will now report for international duty with Brazil having accepted the move is off.
