Neymar set to leave PSG; Madrid in Donny van de Beek talks - latest European rumours

Whilst the Premier League transfer window may have slammed shut on Thursday evening, leagues around Europe can still purchase players from the competition till the end of this month.

There are some major names who could yet depart these shores for pastures new in Europe, while other players should be staying put.

There are also some big storylines on the continent which could still develop in the coming weeks and days.

And with that, here's the latest gossip from around the continent.

Neymar on the move

Real Madrid are in talks with Paris Saint-Germain over the signing of Neymar.

The Brazil forward is understood to have told PSG he wants to leave the club this summer, and according to reports from around the continent, Madrid are keen to secure Neymar's services.

Although the French champions have yet to receive a formal offer from the Spanish giants.

Real open Van de Been talks

Donny van de Beek is on the verge of securing a move to Real Madrid.

The 22-year-old has confirmed Madrid are in talks with his current club Ajax as they look to bolster their midfield before the transfer window closes.

Van de Beek would become the third big-name player to leave last season's Champions League semi-finalists this summer.

Valencia eye Man City man

Valencia have reached an agreement to sign Manchester City defender Eliaquim Mangala.

According to reports from Spain, Mangala’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has agreed a deal with Valencia owner Peter Lim over the centre-back.

Mangala enjoyed a loan spell with the La Liga outfit in the 2016-17 season.

Lovren set to depart Liverpool

Roma are set to step up their interest in Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren.

Gazzetta dello Sport are reporting that the Italian giants are keen to land Lovren on a loan deal with an option to buy for around £18.8m.

The Croatia international has slipped down the centre-back pecking order at Anfield over the past couple of seasons.
