Neymar set to become father as model partner announces she is pregnant

Neymar and his model girlfriend Bruna Biancardi have announced they are expecting their first child as a couple.

The couple revealed the news with a joint post on their Instagram pages, sharing five snaps of them together while Biancardi shows off her baby bump. "We dream of your life, we plan your arrival and know that you are here to complete our love, leave our days much happier," the caption read.

"You're going to join a beautiful family, with a brother, grandparents, uncles and aunts who already love you very much! Come soon child, we are waiting for you!

"'Before I formed you in the womb I chose you; before you were born I set you apart' - Jeremiah 1:5." Neymar also has an 11-year-old son, Davi Lucca, who he had with his former girlfriend Carolina Dantas when he was just 19.

The PSG forward is thought to have begun dating Biancardi in 2021, with the couple going public with their relationship the following year when they announced their engagement. However, they ended up breaking up, with Biancardi denying claims Neymar had cheated on her.

"I prefer to make it clear here that I have not been in a relationship for some time," she said at the time. "Don't believe everything that happens out there. I am very fond of him [Neymar] and his whole family. Please stop involving my name. Thank you."

However, the couple have since rekindled their romance and are now expecting their first child together. In the snaps, Neymar can be seen wearing a protective boot on his right foot, having been ruled out for the remainder of the season with an ankle injury.

The 31-year-old underwent surgery last month in Doha, with PSG boss Christophe Galtier admitting the team would be "more balanced" without him. "I see there has been a debate around this," Galtier said.

"It's a loss, clearly. Is the team more balanced? Yes. Is it better like this? I will say that having him is better to score goals."
