Neymar responds to PSG fans booing him and confirms he wanted to leave in transfer window

Neymar said he will do everything to see Paris Saint-Germain succeed this season despite wanting to leave in the summer transfer window.

The Brazilian forward scored an overhead kick in stoppage time as PSG ran out 1-0 winners over Ligue 1 rivals Strasbourg on Saturday.

Despite Neymar's heroics he was booed by the Paris Saint-Germain supporters packed inside the Parc des Princes.

The Brazil international made it clear he wanted to leave France and return to Barcelona this summer but the transfer never materalised.

After Saturday's game he once again confirmed his desire to leave Paris, but claimed he has no intention of downing tools despite fans booing him.

"I do not have a particular message for the PSG fans," Neymar told reporters.

"I've become used to being booed throughout my career. This time, I will be playing each match as if we were playing away from home.

"Everyone knew that I wanted to leave. I said it and I repeated it.

"I do not want to go into details. The page is turned. I am a PSG player and now I am going to give everything on the pitch."
