Neymar has been ruled out of Paris Saint-Germain's Champions League first-leg tie with Barcelona after picking up a groin injury.

The Brazilian picked up the strain on Wednesday night in the Coupe de France clash with SM Caen.

The Ligue 1 club have confirmed he will now be missing for at least four weeks.

It means he will not be available to return to his former club next week having won the tournament with them back in 2015.

It remains to be seen whether he can recover in time for the return leg back in Paris on 10 March.

PSG reached the final of the tournament for the first time last season under Thomas Tuchel before the German was sacked in December.

He was replaced with former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino, who will now have to gameplan around not having one of his most influential players available at the Nou Camp.
