Kaka has backed Neymar to win the 2020 Ballon d’Or.
Neymar finished third in 2015 and 2017 but, unlike Kaka, has never won the prize.
In recent years he has fallen behind the likes of Antoine Griezmann, Virgil van Dijk and 2018 winner Luka Modric, but Kaka thinks he can take home the award next season.
“Do I believe that Neymar can win it in 2020? He is one of the best players in the world, there is no doubt about it,” he said in an interview with AFP.
“What he needs now is to win a team title and be one of the main protagonists of this achievement.”
Kaka meanwhile revealed that he could move into football management at some point in his future.
“I’m working to be a sporting director or a manager, that’s what I think will happen in the future,” he said.
“But it won’t be today, because I still have many things to learn in many areas. Then I’ll see what opportunities are presented to me.”
