Neymar 'available for cut-price fee next summer' due to secret PSG clause

Neymar could be at the centre of a bidding war next summer following claims that he could be available for a cut-price £145million.

The Brazilian superstar is currently plying his trade with Paris Saint-Germain, having sealed a world-record £198m move from Barcelona in 2017.

But there are rumours that he is unsettled in France, and Barca’s fierce Spanish rivals Real Madrid have been keeping tabs on his situation.

And, according to Mundo Deportivo , there is a secret clause in his current PSG contract that could see him leave in a cut-price deal.

It is claimed that his deal states that he is free to negotiate a deal after three full campaigns in Paris - but only if potential suitors trigger a £145m clause.

The Brazilian has impressed for PSG since arriving at the beginning of last season, scoring 49 goals in 56 appearances in all competitions.

But that hasn’t stopped rumours linking him with a return to Spain, and Neymar recently made the shock admission that he "hesitated and asked not to leave" Barcelona.

Neymar was keen to get out of Lionel Messi's shadow and wanted a new challenge in France.

But two years on the 27-year-old forward admitted that there were moments when he had cold feet prior to the transfer going through.

"I left because I wanted a new challenge, the challenge to win and find something new, to find new tests," Neymar told Fox Sports .

"Barcelona is a club that has always fascinated me, and I still love it today. But at that time I wanted to try something new and that's why I decided to leave.

"It was very difficult to make that decision, there were even moments when I hesitated and asked not to leave. I was like that for about two weeks before deciding to go to Paris."
