Neymar and Thiago Silva have already delivered their verdict on Arsenal's arrival from PSG

Bruno Mazziotti is quickly becoming the most popular Arsenal staff member amongst fans.

The Brazilian Physiotherapist was part of the Paris Saint-Germain medical team as recently as last season and announced his move to the Emirates Stadium on Instagram at the beginning of the year.

"I wish you all a Happy 2021 with great health and peace!" he wrote. "I start this new year doing what I love, working in one of the biggest and most traditional clubs in the world, the@arsenal!"

This Arsenal appointment flew somewhat under the radar, but recent events has seen Mazziotti step into the limelight and with good reason too.

Ahead of the Gunners' Europa League semi-final first-leg against Villarreal, manager Mikel Arteta confirmed a triple injury boost with the news that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette, and Kieran Tierney are all in contention.

"They are all in contention all of them," Arteta said at his pre-match press conference. "Including Aubameyang, including Laca, including Kieran. They are all in contention for the game.

"We do need them, because we know that we have some players that are in contention at the moment that are the ones can make a difference in a big tie like this.

"But the word risk I don’t like it. I want to put players on the pitch that they feel they can perform and they can feel secure that they can perform.

"If it’s a risk or we’re going to take a gamble I don’t think it’s the right game to do it."

Given many expected Lacazette and, certainly, Tierney, to miss Thursday night's big game, some fans are crediting Mazziotti for the duo's speedy recoveries.

In fact, one supporter thinks the Brazilian is Arsenal's signing of the season.

And they're not the only ones who have a high opinion of Mazziotti.

The Athletic's David Ornstein reported last year that Mazziotti is rated highly by Neymar, Thiago Silva, Ronaldo, and former Chelsea forward Alexandre Pato.

Furthermore, ESPN revealed in 2018 that Dani Alves and Marquinhos, were also keen to work with Mazziotti at PSG.

But it's his role in getting Neymar fit for the 2018 World Cup which boosted his reputation.

The Brazilian's debut season at the Parc des Princes ended prematurely as he broke the fifth metatarsal in his right foot four months before the biggest tournament in football.

But under the care of Mazziotti, Neymar's rehabilitation went smoothly and he was ready for Brazil's opener against Switzerland - a game in which he played the full 90 minutes.
