Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al Khelaifi has stated that Neymar and Kylian Mbappe will "have no excuse to leave" this summer, which could mean the start of a domino effect on transfers across Europe.
Mbappe will only have one year left on his PSG contract this summer, and speculation has been rife about a move away from the French capital, with Real Madrid his likeliest destination.
The Ligue 1 giants have been linked with a number of Europe's hottest properties in response, and are believed to be targeting a move for either Tottenham's Harry Kane or Erling Haaland should Mbappe leave.
Mauricio Pochettino is understood to be keen to link up with Kane once more, while Chelsea have been strongly linked with a move for Haaland this summer.
If both of PSG's star players decide to stay at the club this summer, it would make a move for either of Kane or Haaland less likely, and PSG's chairman says that he is trying to make it difficult to reject a stay in Paris.
"Neymar contract? I think Neymar will stay here at PSG for a long time," Al Khelaifi told Sky Italy.
"We'll invest a lot in the club, Neymar and Mbappe have no excuse to leave PSG," he then added to RMC Sport.
A deal for Neymar is said to be ready to sign, while talks with Mbappe are ongoing but nothing has yet been agreed.
Speaking after helping his side knock holders Bayern Munich out of the Champions League, Neymar confirmed his intentions to re-sign with PSG.
"This [renewal with PSG] is no longer an issue," Neymar told ESPN Brazil.
"Obviously I feel very comfortable and at home here at PSG. I feel happier than I was before."
The news would be a welcome boost for both Chelsea and Tottenham in the transfer market if it meant PSG were not eyeing moves for either Kane or Haaland.
