Neymar addresses fan backlash as PSG star confirms future plans amid Saudi Arabia links

Neymar has confirmed he will stay at Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

The Brazilian has endured a difficult relationship with the club’s support since a world-record move from Barcelona in the summer of 2017 and has been linked with a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia.

Chelsea have also been credited with an interest in media reports as they hunt for attacking signings.

A group of PSG fans gathered outside the 32-year-old’s Paris home in May and called for him to leave the club after another disappointing season.

Lionel Messi brought an end to an underwhelming two-year stint earlier this summer, joining MLS side Inter Miami.

Kylian Mbappe, meanwhile, has entered the final year of his contract at the Parc des Princes as links with a move to Real Madrid continue.

Still, Neymar insists he will not be leaving even amid fan backlash to his perceived superstar status, which many of the ultras believe is a reason for the club’s consistent failings in the Champions League.

“I hope to play this season at PSG, I have a contract with Paris. So far, no one has told me anything,” he told CazeTV.

“I am calm, even if there is not much love between the supporters and the player. I will be there with or without love.”

Former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique will reunite with Neymar in Paris after signing a two-year contract to replace Christophe Galtier.
