Next Tottenham manager: Antonio Conte likely to be unveiled as Spurs boss by Daniel Levy

Antonio Conte is likely to be appointed as the new Tottenham manager, football.london understands.

Following reports that emerged on Wednesday that Spurs were in talks to appoint Conte, it now looks set that the former Chelsea boss will become Jose Mourinho's successor.

Spurs pushed hard to try and bring back Mauricio Pochettino, and despite the Argentine coach wanted a sensational return, it is understood that Paris Saint-Germain fought really hard to keep him at the Parc des Princes.

With PSG refusing to budge on Pochettino, Spurs have turned their attention to Conte - and there is set to be some major changes in N17.

Tottenham are also likely to appoint his former Director of Football, Fabio Paratici, football.london understands, as the north London club prepares for its next huge alteration.

Conte's three-year spell at Juventus saw him work with Paratici, who was then the Italian club's chief football officer.

The former Juve chief played a key role in the Old Lady's nine straight Serie A titles from 2012 to 2020.

Conte became a free agent after his shock exit from Inter Milan - with the Italian coach reportedly falling out with the Serie A champions' hierarchy over their plans to sell some key players.

The fact that the ex-Blues manager became available was too much of an attractive proposition for Daniel Levy to turn down.

During his managerial career, Conte has won six league titles (one Serie B, four Serie A and one Premier League) - and very much like Mourinho's appointment in 2019, will be brought to the club to end Spurs' long wait for a major honour.
