Next is set to close its store on Edinburgh's Princes Street and relocate to the new St James' Centre.
Those at the retailer confirmed that they'll be opening at the new shopping centre when it opens later this year after shutting down their existing, established city centre shop.
This is likely to add to fears that the street could be set for a rocky future due to the new St James' Centre being on the horizon. The centre is currently under construction with the shopping galleria set to open in October.
It has already been revealed that Zara will open a massive 37,000 sq ft store across three floors, and Mango will open the doors on its first Edinburgh store too. Other stores such as Bershka, Stradivarius and Pull&Bear will also take stores.
We also reported earlier this month that Five Guys, Yo! Sushi and @pizza will open restaurants in the food court area.
A Next spokesperson told Edinburgh Live : "We can confirm that we will be opening a store at the St James' Centre in Edinburgh.
"As a result, the Princes Street store will close and resite when the new one in St James' opens later this year."
It was reported last week that Princes Street could undergo a transformation and become an area for cafes and restaurants – giving the famous city centre route a new lease of life.
Fears had been expressed for the future of the street, with Jenners also set to depart its iconic building.
