Rafa Benitez has been targeted to take charge of Algeria, after admitting he was 'open' to being the new Scotland manager last month.
The ex-Liverpool, Real Madrid, Napoli, Inter Milan, Chelsea, Newcastle United and Everton boss revealed he would consider becoming Steve Clarke's successor after admitting he was interested in becoming an international manager.
The 66-year-old Spaniard was asked whether he would consider the Scotland job and stated: "I'm open to international football, to national teams, because I think you can do a different kind of job."

And Algeria are the first nation to make a firm move for the Champions League-winning boss.
The African country sacked Bosnian boss Vladimir Petkovic, despite him guiding them to the Round of 32 in the World Cup this summer.
And they have reportedly approached Benitez to try and lure him to take charge for their looming African Cup of Nations qualifying campaign.
Benitez's last job was in Greece as Panathinaikos boss before he was axed in May this year after a dismal fourth place finish.
