'Next Saka' - Arsenal fans believe they have spotted the next top youngster after wondergoal

Arsenal fans have gone crazy on social media after seeing young midfielder Omari Hutchinson score a stunning goal in Arsenal Under-23s' 4-2 victory over Crystal Palace in the Premier League 2 Division 1.

Hutchinson, 17, registered two goals in the London derby between the two youth sides and his first is the one, in particular, that has got Gunners fans talking about his potential.

The north Londoners have been known for producing a conveyor belt full of young talent.

While some do become established first team stars like Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka, others unfortunately do not. But there are opportunities elsewhere in the Premier League, with Joe Willock being the most recent to depart the capital to move to Newcastle United in a £25million move.

Regardless of success, credit has to go to Kevin Betsy, Per Mertesacker and the rest of the youth team set-up who are helping harness great potential, meaning the Gunners can identify high-class transfer targets to supplement the young stars.

The 17-year-old, who had admitted in a past interview that he idolises Arsenal's current No.7, is on the road to a potential first-team debut after what happened in an Under-23s game on Friday night.

One of the first attacks in the game at Meadow Park saw the creative midfielder use his low centre of gravity to drive into the box and fire his attempt into the far corner past a helpless Eagles goalkeeper.

Here is how a selection of Gunners fans reacted on Reddit to the wondergoal.

@90degreeturnsbtw gave his verdict: 'this kid is just absolutely insane, he reminds me of Saka so much with his low centre of gravity and deceptive strength, he will 100% make it in our first team one day i have no doubt about that, can play CAM/LW/RW/LB.'

@i_am_jeremias summed up that goal in three words: 'What a run!'

@2manyfrogz has compared Hutchinson to the great Lionel Messi after seeing that strike: 'Hutchinson was determined to put the Messi comparisons to bed.'

@bareaclampedlebron put: 'the spin, the run, the shot. Messi-esque.'

@zarar__1 commented: 'Reminds me of Saka so much.'

@Bels3000 was delighted with the first goal in that game: 'Puts a smile on my face when a player in an Arsenal shirt can be in the middle of the park and play on the turn.'

@skalfyfan has requested: 'Promote this kid next year please! :) Haven't been s excited on a youth prospect since Wilshere came through.'

To end the reactions off with and probably the most significant comment came from @okalin73 who said: 'Next Saka.'
