Next Plymouth Argyle manager odds: Graham Coughlan finally drifts in betting but outsider former Bristol Rovers boss has odds cut

Graham Coughlan has finally drifted in the betting for the Plymouth Argyle job.

The Bristol Rovers manager, who is a legend at Argyle, was made heavy favourite for the job shortly after Derek Adams departed Home Park last month.

Despite Coughlan consistently saying there had been no contact between Rovers and Plymouth over his future, odds on him taking the role continued to shorten.

Yet, according to The Sack Race , he has now drifted out to 10/1 to be the next Argyle manager.

Whilst he is still joint-second-favourite for the job, such a dramatic drift in the betting now suggests the bookies feel he is unlikely to take the job.

Gas legend Ian Holloway is 16/1 to take the job, and he is believed to be interested in the job.

Yet a newcomer to the betting is another former Bristol Rovers manager - Paul Trollope.

Exclusive: Bristol Rovers legend Chris Lines having medical at League Two club

Trollope is 14/1 to be given the job after he departed Brighton & Hove Albion on Monday - he was assistant to Chris Hughton at the Seagulls.

The 46-year-old ended his playing career at Rovers and was manager for five years between 2005 and 2010.

Under Trollope, he Gas won promotion to League One and reached the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.
