Next Fulham manager odds: Steve Cooper in pole position to replace Scott Parker

Fulham became the third managerless major London club on Monday when they confirmed that Scott Parker has left by mutual consent.

Thankfully for the Cottagers, they won’t be shopping in the same supermarket as Spurs and Crystal Palace, but the search is now on to replace Parker, who seems sure to take over at Bournemouth, before the Championship season starts on Saturday August 7.

Current Swansea boss Steve Cooper heads the Next Fulham Manager betting with Grosvenor Sport at 6/4, while Chris Wilder, who was sacked by Sheffield United last season, is 5/2 to be in the Fulham dugout when they face the Blades.

It is understood that Fulham are yet to make any kind of form move for Cooper, who was reportedly interviewed for the job at Selhurst Park before the club decided to move on to other targets.

Eddie Howe, who was for so long expected to take the Celtic job, is also prominent in the betting at 4/1, while Frank Lampard is a 5/1 chance to swap one west London club for another.

Parker was almost immediately announced as the new Bournemouth boss where he will take over from Jonathan Woodgate, whose contract expires on Wednesday.

Fulham kick off the new season with a home game against Middlesbrough, while Scott Parker's Bournemouth side host West Bromwich Albion, who are still to replace Sam Allardyce.
