Brighton have made Swansea boss Graham Potter their No1 managerial target.
They have already made moves to try and lure Potter just 24 hours after the shock dismissal of Chris Hughton despite keeping them in the Premier League.
Potter, 43, is certain to be interested in a chance to get into the Premier League but it is not certain that he will quit Swansea and wants to see what the Championship club’s plans are for the future.
Former Ostersunds boss Potter has done an impressive job at Swansea under difficult circumstances after relegation as the club had to make major cut backs and yet he has stabilised the team and brought through good young players.

Brighton ’s new technical director Dan Ashworth is believed to be a big admirer of Potter as they look to the future following Hughton’s departure.
Potter is known for playing attractive football and producing home grown talent is another key area which appeals to Brighton.

But Potter knew it was a long term project at Swansea and could yet decide to stay as long as the club’s American owners give some sort of outline and assurances on the future.
Brighton hope to move quickly as they also want to strengthen the squad this summer and would want a new manager in place as quickly as possible to oversee and be on board with signings.
