With the Christmas deccies coming down and the January blues kicking in, many people's thoughts will be turning to only one thing: when's the next bank holiday?
Card shops and supermarkets are reliable guides to what's looming on the horizon: as soon as the razzmatazz to do with the Christmas holiday has disappeared, it is swiftly followed by Valentine's Day cards and Easter eggs.
Although it's not a bank holiday, 2020 is a leap year so February will have 29 days instead of the usual 28.
It's a long wait until the next bank holiday proper - Good Friday is not until April 10.
And one major change to the bank holiday calendar is the moving of the early May bank holiday from Monday to Friday to commemorate the 75th anniversary of VE Day and the end of World War Two in Europe.
The bank holiday on VE Day will kick off a three-day weekend commemoration when over 20,000 pubs will encourage patrons to raise a glass to the heroes of the war.
However the announcement (made back in June) seems to have caught diary and calendar makers on the hop, with many of them still incorrectly giving the traditional Monday date of May 4 for the bank holiday.
This is only the second time ever that the early May bank holiday has been moved. The first was in 1995, again to mark a significant VE Day milestone - on that occasion, it was the 50th anniversary of the end of the war in Europe.
Looking further ahead to next Christmas, Boxing Day this year falls on a Saturday. This means it is "observed" on December 28, giving an extra day's holiday.

Good Friday - April 10
Easter Monday - April 13
May bank holiday - Friday, May 8
Spring bank holiday - May 25
Summer holiday - August 31
Christmas Day - December 25
Boxing Day - December 26; observed December 28.
Scotland and Northern Ireland have their own bank holidays on several dates throughout the year.
