Next Arsenal manager odds as Massimiliano Allegri jumps above Freddie Ljungberg

Arsenal have confirmed that manager Unai Emery has been sacked.

Defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League means Arsenal have now failed to win any of their last seven matches in all competitions, following on from a disappointing 2-2 draw with Southampton prior to the international break.

The club have acted with Freddie Ljungberg taking temporary charge ahead of the game with Norwich City.

Ljungberg has taken over the job on an interim basis but he is not the favourite to land the role permanently.

The likes of former Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri, Ljungberg, Man City assistant Mikel Arteta, Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo and ex-Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino are in the top five list of candidates, according to SportNation.bet.

Other names in the hunt include Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe and Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers, along with club legend Patrick Vieira.
