It's been a long road to recovery, but Arsenal's fans could be seeing Hector Bellerin in action sooner rather than later.
The defender has been out of action since damaging his anterior cruciate ligament in the 2-0 victory over Chelsea in January.
For Bellerin, the last few months have consistent of intense rehabilitation and gym work as the defender is forced to build up the strength in his knee with the fitness coaches.
However the Spaniard has now been handed a huge boost.
The Gunners shared a post on Twitter on Monday with the news that the defender had returned to full training and was carrying out ball work.
Bellerin also took to social media to share the news of his progress.
The 24-year-old couldn't hide his relief at returning to full training as he posted the simple message: 'You'll never know how much i missed you baby'.
It remains to be seen whether Hector Bellerin will be fit for the start of the new season.
While carrying out ball work is a huge boost in his recovery, it could still take a few weeks to build up to full contact training - especially to the intensity required to be ready for Premier League action.
It's possible that Bellerin could be ready for the start of the new season, but if he's not ready for the opening game then he shouldn't be too far behind.
As you'd imagine, Arsenal's fans were delighted with the fitness update.
