Next and current banners in Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact Banners - Drip marketing for Mavuika.

The banners in Genshin Impact are constantly changing, so it's a good idea to keep track of what the current banners and next banners are, to prepare for a sudden hit to your precious Primogem reserves.

Limited-time rotating banners are called 'Event Wishes' in Genshin, and they usually run for three weeks. An Event Wish Banner is never gone for long though, as another one—with a different set of characters—will soon take its place. Your Primogems are never safe!

You use the Intertwined Fate currency to pull (referred to as 'Wishing' in-game) on these Event Wish Banners. If you see you're using something called Acquaint Fate, then you're wishing on Genshin's permanent banner or Beginner's Banner instead. It's a good idea to always convert your Primogems into Intertwined Fate to save up for Event Wish Banners, as it's much harder to get characters only available for a limited-time than it is to get characters in the permanent banner. But you do you! As somebody who only pulled for Xilonen because I wanted to roller skate across Teyvat, I'm not one to judge.

Ineffa and Citlali are on the next banners is Genshin Impact, with Ineffa a new five-star electro polearm-user, and Citlali a returning five-star cryo catalyst-user. Both of their banners start on Wednesday, July 30 when Phase 1 of version 5.8 starts.

Then in Phase 2 of version 5.8 Chasca, and Mualani are rerunning, with Chasca a returning five-star anemo bow-user, and Mualani a returning five-star hydro catalyst-user.

While a Nod-Krai robot gal and a Citlali rerun are tempting in particular, it's worth keeping in mind for your pulling plans that these will be the last banners before a whole host of new characters from the new region of Nod-Krai are set to be revealed. So maybe hold off on pulling with your spare Primogems (if you're lucky enough to have any spare!) until the Nod-Krai teaser trailer is released.

You never know who might steal your heart—or wallet—next.

Mavuika and Emilie are the current banners in Genshin Impact, which are set to end on Tuesday, July 29.

Mavuika a returning five-star pyro claymore-user on her Ancient Flame Ablaze Banner, and Emilie, a returning five-star dendro polearm-user on her Ambrosial Essence Banner.

The boosted four-star characters on Mavuika and Emilie's current banners are:

  • Iansan (electro, polearm-user)
  • Yaoyao (dendro, polearm-user)
  • Xiangling (pryo, polearm-user)

I'm sorry to the three Emilie stans out there, but this is thankfully an easy choice for most people. It's hard to say no to pulling for the pyro Archon when the other five-star rerun isn't relevant to the story or meta. That's actually quite an achievement—well done Emilie!

Although nothing but Ineffa's new signature weapon has been officially announced, thanks to the confirmed character reruns, it's easy to work out what's coming in version 5.8

Using this information, here's what's on the next weapon banners in version 5.8 of Genshin Impact:

  • Fractured Halo - Ineffa's signature polearm (Phase 1)
  • Starcaller's Watch - Citlali's signature claymore (Phase 1)
  • Surf's Up - Mualani's signature polearm (Phase 2)
  • Astral Vulture's Crimson Plumage - Chasca's signature polearm (Phase 2)
