Next All Black Lives demo announced - and it will be 'even bigger' than last one

Organisers of the demonstration in Bristol which saw the toppling of the statue of Edward Colston have unveiled plans for the next big event - and said they want to make it ‘even bigger and more impactful’.

The group of five young people in Bristol are staging a gathering in Eastville Park on July 12 - and are calling on black speakers, artists and business people to join them and get involved in the event, which will showcase what they do.

“Our event is for black speakers, black artists and black-owned businesses, so for those who would like to speak, present their art - be it painting, music, poetry etc) or advertise their black-owned business, you will be able to contact the organiser heading that role over the next day or two,” said a spokesperson.

“The UK and the world need to hear your voices so talk to us and we will get you involved.

“This time around we want to make it even bigger, more impactful and as collaborative as possible,” he added.

The group has renamed itself All Black Lives Bristol to avoid confusion with the existing Black Lives Matter group in Bristol which was formed in 2016 and 2017, but those organising the All Black Lives campaign said they ‘completely agree’ with the goals and agenda of Black Lives Matter.
