A pensioner is understood to have been injured in a road collision in East Belfast tonight.
Police are at the scene on the Newtownards Rd and have cordoned off the area east of Dee St.
It is understood the incident happened around 10.30pm.
One local man said: "There's been a lot of activity and police cars and police officers dealing with the public.
"One person was on the ground and injured. I have been told a pensioner may have been knocked over on the road and is in a serious condition."
There are no further details at the moment.
