Newtownards assault: Man left with broken elbow after "vicious attack" by group

A man has been assaulted by up to five males in Co Down.

Police say the incident happened in Newtownards near Jubilee Road on Monday night, September 13.

The victim was allegedly "punched and kicked" and attended hospital for injuries which include a broken elbow.

PSNI Detective Constable Shivers said: “We received a report that a man had been assaulted by a group of up to five males, when walking towards the Jubilee Road area of the town at around 8.20pm.

“We are working to establish a motive for this vicious attack, and are appealing to anyone with information to contact us on 101 quoting reference number 578 of 16/09/21.”
