Police are appealing for information following a report of an assault in Newtowards.
It happened in the Upper Movilla Street area of Newtownards last night, Thursday June 25.
At around 11pm, it was reported that a 19 year old male was walking in the area when he was assaulted.
It is believed a male punched him on the right side of his face and another male attempted to get the male into a chokehold.
A third male was in a dark coloured car during the incident.
The male was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries.
A PSNI spokesperson said: "Enquiries are continuing anyone who witnessed the incident or anything suspicious in the area are asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 2496 25/06/20.
