A Co Antrim florist is on a mission to make someone's day by leaving 'lonely bouquets' across the city and beyond.
Abbey Florists, in Newtownabbey, is celebrating 25 years in business today, November 16, with a random act of kindness gesture and hoping to spread a little joy across Belfast and beyond.
They are planning to scatter 25 bouquets from Newtownabbey to Carrickfergus, and a few places in between, to mark the occasion.
Posting about the gesture on Facebook, the florists said: "We cannot believe we are 25 and whilst we would love to be celebrating with you all it isn’t possible given the circumstances at the minute . That doesn’t mean we can’t give something back, so we are giving away 25 bouquets."
To get your hands on one of the bouquets you have to simply find where they are and bring it home.
The business added: "We have planted 25 bunches randomly throughout the Belfast/Newtownabbey area. We will go back to where it all began in Sandy Row & travel as far as Carrickfergus/Ballyclare. So if you are one of the lucky ducks that finds a lonely bouquet please take it home on us.
"We will give a couple of pics to give you a few clues where some are so enjoy the fun in searching. We would love a few pics if you are lucky enough to get one so please share on your own page and with others that maybe aren’t on Facebook. Who doesn’t need a little pick me up at the minute?
"Thank you a million times over for allowing us to reach this milestone we are forever and ever grateful. Here’s to many more."
