Newspaper executives talked up their companies' takes from online advertising revenue at the Newspaper Association of America's annual conference of newspaper investors. The reality and the expectations show how difficult it is to predict the future. Tribune's ceo, Dennis FitzSimons said he hopes online advertising will make up between 12% and 15% of its newspaper revenues by 2010. Donald Graham, ceo of the Washington Post said his company's online advertising was growing at about 35% a year. And William Dean Singleton, ceo of the Denver-based publisher MediaNews Group said that online revenue will make up about 7% of his company's revenue this year. (Via Business News: CBSnews.com)
