Newspaper's pressure forces a council to act

A council has bowed to pressure from the Croydon Guardian after it highlighted the fact that as many as 30 drivers a day were being fined due to inadequate road signs. Now the local council is to introduce new signs at a road junction where confused motorists often turn into a bus-only lane and are caught on camera. It is estimated that £320,000 in fines have been paid by errant drivers since arrows pointing in three directions were erected at the junction. (Via Croydon Guardian)
