He battled hard to take a 2m1f handicap at Kelso in October but followed up at Musselburgh over today's trip of just over two-and-a-half miles with an impressive four-and-a-half-length supremacy over Avoid De Master.
Another 7lb rise may not stop him, especially with former champion jockey Brian Hughes on board.
Later on the card, RAPID RAIDER (2.45, treble) can emulate the nap selection by also winning his third race in a row.
The Lucinda Russell-trained gelding backed up a comfortable victory at Bangor in October by keeping on well to land a handicap over two and a half miles at Ayr last month under Stephen Mulqueen.
The seven-year-old is reunited with Mulqueen today and should be suited by the step up in trip to three miles in the Join Racing TV Now Handicap Chase.
On the all-weather at Wolverhampton, CAREY STREET (5.30, nb) looks the pick in the Betway Handicap.
The five-year-old, trained by Linda Stubbs, won over course and distance a fortnight ago with a career best under Joanna Mason and may still be ahead of the handicapper despite a 2lb rise.
