Declan Carville and Stephen Hughes have been axed by relegation-threatened Newry City following what manager Darren Mullen has described as a "breach of club discipline".
Both players - whose contracts are set to end this summer - have been ruled out of Saturday's crunch Premiership clash with Dungannon Swifts.
"Declan and Stephen have both stepped outside what I expect from my players as Newry City manager," Mullen said.
"As a result of the breach of club discipline, neither player will be involved in the panel for the Dungannon game or be back at Newry.
"My decision has received the full backing from the club."
Newry remain bottom of the Premiership following last night's defeat to Institute.
They trail 11th-placed Ards by three points going into Saturday's final rounds of games.
