Newport County have the mammoth task of hosting the giants of Manchester City in the FA Cup fifth round on Saturday evening.
The visitors still have the chance of claiming an unprecedented quadruple this season and are back in form, following a shock league defeat to Newcastle with a thumping 6-0 win over Chelsea and easy victory over Everton.
City, five-time winners of the Cup, destroyed Rotherham and Burnley by a 12-0 aggregate to reach this stage and surely only complacency will stand in their way of the quarter-finals, despite the fact they will rest players ahead of their Champions League tie with Schalke on Wednesday and the Carabao Cup final next Sunday.
The hosts, who currently sit in 15th in League Two will go for broke and aim for the biggest of giant killings after beating Leicester and Middlesbrough in the last two rounds.
Newport’s Rodney Parade will provide a challenge for Pep Guardiola’s stars with its uneven nature, something the Welsh team will hope levels the playing field.
