Newmains restaurant handing over a cut from its takings to DreamMaker Foundation

A Newmains restaurant will make a donation to the Les Hoey MBE DreamMaker Foundation for every diner that comes through its doors on Friday night.

Cafe Shabab will donate £2 for every adult or child that orders from their buffet menu from 5pm until 10pm on November 1.

They are also reducing their buffet prices for the night. Adults can eat for just £7 while the cost for children is only £5.

If the night at the Manse Road restaurant is a success then it could become a monthly event.

A collection bucket for the DreamMaker Foundation will also be on the premises each day to enable people to donate.

The Wishaw-based charity helps children who are suffering from life-threatening illnesses and their siblings to go on special trips and meet their idols.

Les Hoey MBE, said: “We are really grateful to the restaurant owners for doing this for us.”
