Newmains mum is latest winner of Say It With Flowers competition

Some people always go the extra mile to help their family.

And one of those is Newmains mum Elaine Curley.

Elaine works full-time for British Gas and also has two children, Grant and Rachael.

On top of that, she also looks after her 92-year-old aunt.

Her daughter-in-law Claire Kilpatrick nominated Elaine to win our Say it with Flowers competition.

And we delivered this stunning bouquet – provided courtesy of Newmains florist Pixie’s Petals – to her home in Bogside this week.

Claire said: “Elaine is such a caring, nice person.

“Her aunt needs a lot of help at her age and Elaine helps her on a daily basis.

“She cooks her meals, does her shopping for her and generally provides all-round care.

“She is such a selfless person and I think she really deserves these flowers to show that she is appreciated by all of her family.”

If you know someone who goes the extra mile for their family, or gives up their time for a good cause, you can nominate them for our Say it with Flowers competition.

Send us your nomination, and your contact number, to news@wishawpress.co.uk and we will be in touch when we have space for a winner.
