Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty and Indian cricketer KL Rahul on Monday tied the knot in a fairytale wedding in Khandala, surrounded by their families and closest friends.
After the intimate nuptials, the couple switched up the tempo and traded in their gorgeous wedding attire for a chic number that allowed the young couple to party the night away. For the wedding ceremony, Athiya wore an old-rose pink lehenga by designer Anamika Khanna. For the afterparty later that evening, Athiya rocked a red sharara with floral detailing.
The dashing groom, on the other hand, stuck to his all-white colour palate.
While the couple has been fiercely private about their wedding, and only shared a handful of pictures, Anshula Kapoor did fans a favour by posting a photo reel of her fun time with the new bride and groom. We couldn't help but notice Anshula's rumoured beau Rohan Thakkar who tagged along for the party. Besides putting on their best goofy poses for the cameras, the two couples also puckered up and kissed for the cameras.
Athiya and KL announced their wedding in an Instagram post that read, "'In your light, I learn how to love…' Today, with our most loved ones, we got married in the home that's given us immense joy and serenity. With a heart full of gratitude and love, we seek your blessings on this journey of togetherness."
The newlyweds later also posed for the photographers waiting outside the wedding venue post the ceremony.
The couple is likely to host a grand reception in Mumbai for their friends and colleagues only after the IPL.
