Newlywed groom fights off baracuda that bit his wedding tackle on honeymoon trip

A groom on his honeymoon bravely fought off a giant barracuda after it started biting at his wedding tackle.

Jayme Bryla, from London, was forced to save his manhood after the huge fish attacked him while he was snorkelling alone at an eco-waterpark near Cancun in Mexico.

The 39-year-old told Sun Online that he was enjoying the "magical" adventure where he was surrounded by colourful fish when the attack took place.

He said: "It was dark, God knows how deep, and I was quite far from land. Then I saw to my right a pale fish, 3ft or 4ft long.

“I ducked my head down to look and there it was, thrashing away on my shorts.”

Jayme said he swam as hard as he could before adrenaline kicked in which numbed his pain.

Jayme and 36-year-old wife Magda got married last August and went on their honeymoon this month.

He said: “I told her the beast probably mistook the contents of my shorts for a rival barracuda. She just laughed.”
