Chris Hughes has remembered the time he confessed to wanting to be engaged by the age of 26 during his Love Island stint in 2017.
The newly-single reality TV star, 27, recently parted ways with ex-girlfriend Jesy Nelson, 28, after a fiery 18-month-romance.
Earlier today a fan took to Instagram Stories to share a clip of Chris and former islander Kem Cetinay, 24, chatting in the villa about their future plans.
Chris can be heard asking Kem: "When do you think you want to get engaged?"
To which the hunk responds: "I want to get married when I'm 25 or 26."

Chris then agreed, saying: Yeah, I want to be married by the time I'm 26."
Kem goes on to ask: "That ain't long, is it?"
Chris answered: "Not really. Oh s**t, that means I've got to be engaged in about a few months."

Sharing the fan's clip on his Instagram Story, Chris wrote: "Well this certainly failed didn't it @kemcetinay," alongside an eye roll emoji.
Chris and singer Jesy split amid lockdown as they isolated separately, after reports claimed the Little Mix star dumped him over the phone.
Earlier this month, Jesy has made a statement of moving on by unfollowing Chris and deleting photos of him from her Instagram page.

But Chris has kept all his snaps of her from their time together amid reports that he's hoping for a reconciliation once lockdown in lifted - despite unfollowing her.
A source told The Sun just after their split that Chris was sure he and Jesy could make it work after they're allowed back out in the world.

They said: "Chris is absolutely convinced that he is going to be getting back together with Jesy just as soon as isolation ends and they can be together again.
"As far as he is concerned, this split is just temporary and actually it's more of a break than a break-up."
