Newland Homes secures Tewkesbury land for housing development

Housebuilder Newland Homes has secured the promotion of land on the outskirts of Tewkesbury, in Gloucestershire, extending to more than 80 acres.

The plot, at Northway Mill Farm, has been identified as part of the first phase of the emerging 'Tewkesbury Garden Town' and has the potential to deliver more than 450 homes.

Tewkesbury Garden Town is a project led by Tewkesbury Borough Council and comprises over 10,000 homes. It also includes employment land and infrastructure, new schools, healthcare facilities, and green space in the form of allotments and natural play areas.

Andrew Billings, land director at Newland Homes, said the housebuilder would "actively embrace" green transportation and "enhance" site biodiversity as part of the development," he said.

“We are committed to working with all the stakeholders involved with the Garden Town and facilitating the construction of the new railway bridge and associated infrastructure.

"Newland Homes is excited to be able to influence the emerging vision and design standards and we are committed to building zero carbon homes.

Newland Homes was recently granted planning permission in Twyningfor 47 dwellings, which will provide a mixture of open-market and affordable homes. An application is also currently progressing for 145 homes on an allocated site in Churchdown, which is expected to be delivered in 2023.
